The Slovenian company Envit d. o. o. was one of the first to publish a challenge on the INDUSAC platform. As a deep-tech startup and proprietor of the multi-patented ReSoil®, a breakthrough remediation technology that enables efficient, fast, cost-effective and on-site removal of toxic metals and metalloids from various soils in a closed, zero-emission, zero-wastewater process while preserving and enhancing the soil as a functional natural substrate and is compatible with biological treatments to remove organic contaminants. The option to have their business and technology challenges solved with support from an international team of students within the INDUSAC project in only 4-8 weeks seemed feasible, and by early November 2023, their first challenge was already available.
The students’ and researchers’ main objective was to redesign and redevelop the company’s website to serve as a comprehensive platform for providing key information about Envit’s technology, establishing sales channels, and enabling testing. Following the initial success of the first responses and feedback from students and researchers for the first published challenge, the company continued publishing new challenges, seeking additional activities on the website, the company’s visual presentation, and the ReSoil® technology.

Among several teams selected to work on challenges was the team with Angelina Apostoloska, Stefana Spirkoska and Borko Petrevski. During the summer of 2024, the team developed an updated website and created a new logo, email signature and introduction letter for the company. Throughout the project, they closely cooperated with Grega E. Voglar, PhD from Envit d. o. o., who led them through the whole process and provided necessary support. The commitment and responsiveness of everyone involved in the co-creation project marked the beginning of a very successful and professional cooperation. After completing their first project, the team continued to cooperate with the company on two additional challenges.

In subsequent projects, they updated the previously designed logo and website based on the company’s feedback, designed a folder mockup, created a series of illustrations, marketing banners, and a blueprint for content structure and navigation. In the final phase, the new website, with a modern, user-friendly interface, was migrated to a new hosting environment while maintaining full responsiveness across devices. Website refinements included consistent branding, improved performance, enhanced accessibility, a properly configured content management system (CMS), and the implementation of search engine optimisation (SEO) best practices.
In almost one year between the start of the first co-creation project and the conclusion of the final one, the cooperation between Angelina, Stefana, Borko and Grega E. proved that dedication, defined objectives and mutual understanding can lead to great results and a fulfilling journey for everyone involved. Students had the opportunity to put their knowledge, skills, innovative ideas, and out-of-the-box approach into practice, while the company gained not only a redesigned website and visuals but also valuable experience working with young, promising professionals.

And who knows where this journey will lead them next …
