On May 8th and 9th, we officially closed the INDUSAC chapter with two back-to-back events in Vienna – our final consortium meeting, followed by the INDUSAC workshop during the EIT Manufacturing Day. It was a mix of project reflections, open discussions, sharing real experiences, and, honestly, just enjoying the fact that we pulled off something meaningful together.
May 8 – Final Consortium Meeting
We kicked things off with the final project meeting at EIT Manufacturing East. It was a full-day session with all partners around the table, looking back at what we’ve achieved over the last three years.
There were presentations, of course, but also a lot of honest conversations about what worked, what didn’t, and what we’d do differently. We covered:
- the measurable impact of the INDUSAC collaboration model,
- key lessons from the pilot rounds,
- ideas for how to keep the platform alive post-project.
It was surprisingly emotional at times – seeing how far we’ve come as a group and knowing this was the last time we’d be sitting in a room like this (at least within this project).
📸 We captured moments from the workshop part – sticky notes, intense group discussions, and lots of smiles.

May 9 – Final INDUSAC Workshop @ EIT Manufacturing Day
The next day, we went public. Our final INDUSAC event was part of EIT Manufacturing Day, held at the beautiful Sofiensäle in the heart of Vienna.
The workshop, “Co-creating Innovation”, was a chance to present what we’ve built – and more importantly, how it’s been used in real collaborations between companies, students, and researchers.
We had:
- partner presentations outlining the core idea and results of INDUSAC,
- testimonials and stories shared directly by students and companies,
- a panel discussion with experts from both academia and industry,
- informal networking (and caffeine) to keep the ideas flowing.
The feedback was incredibly positive. Several people came up to us afterward saying they’d love to see this model replicated in other projects. That felt good.
📸 Photos show us in action – at the booth, presenting, chatting with visitors, and just soaking in the event energy.

Ending the Right Way – Dinner & Conversations
We wrapped it all up the best way possible – with dinner. A big table, lots of food, laughter, and that sense of “we did something cool together.” No slides, no agenda, just people connecting.
📸 Dinner photos? Full of smiles, glasses raised, and dessert plates cleaned.

And now?
The project may be over, but the collaboration definitely isn’t. The INDUSAC model proved its worth, and now we’re exploring how it can live on – maybe in a new format, maybe in a new context, but definitely with the same energy.
